Fall of 2023, Trip to The Black Hills.

In the fall of 2023, my wife and I went on a week-long trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. During the trip we were able to see several historical landmarks from the Black Hills gold rush, including a trail that brought us through the Homestake Mine. We were able to relax in a cabin while taking in Deadwood and all of the history the town provides. Mostly, we walked the trails through the beautiful mountain range with are dog, Bear. The fall is my favorite time to visit the Black Hills as the Aspen trees begin to change to a bright yellow and the brisk mountain air is perfect for hiking.
